Lead Team

  • David Kennard - Executive Pastor

David is married to Amie, and they have two children – Joshua and Jenna. He was born and grew up near Springfield, Missouri. David went to Southwest Missouri State University and graduated with a B.S. in Psychology/Religious Studies. He is a chocoholic, a tennis fanatic and loves anything dealing with servant-leadership. You can nearly always find him with his iPhone in hand, and on more than one occasion he’s been accused of being a little too organized. He loves to travel, read and serve with his kids.

  • Trey Sullivan - Creative Arts Pastor

Trey’s passion and calling is to lead the gathered church in musical worship that responds appropriately to God’s presence and assists in the reception of God’s Word. He earned his B.S. in Worship Leadership from Huntington University and holds an M.A. in Theological Studies from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. Trey lives in Oakmont and enjoys spending time with family, reading good books, and playing music with friends.

  • Dave Longstreth - Outreach Pastor

Dave is passionate about his family, friends and making a difference in the community and the world. He is married to Carrie and is proud of his kids Kylie and Braden -- who make him feel like a rock star every day. Dave's favorite ways to pass the time at RCC are laughing, dreaming and making videos.

  • Michael Evans - connections & Young Adult Pastor

Sensing a call from God since an early age, Michael has served faithfully in the church in a variety of ministries. With a hunger to learn and to communicate God’s Word, Michael is passionate about growing closer to God and sharing the gospel. Moving to Pittsburgh in 2007, Michael began serving at Riverside immediately. He loves to read, drink coffee, and read while drinking coffee. He currently lives in Penn Hills with his wife, Lauren, and their yellow lab, Luna.

  • DR. Bill Ellis - Lead Pastor

Bill Ellis never thought he'd return to his hometown, but in 1988, with Teresa and their two young daughters, he came back to plant a church in the eastern suburbs. Now that Angela and Bethany are young adults, he can't imagine leaving the 'Burgh. Bill loves the challenge of leading a growing congregation, the adventure of short-term mission trips, and the rare satisfaction of finding the fairway off of the tee. Before coming to Pittsburgh, Bill studied at Penn State University, Central Bible College and the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary. Prior to Pittsburgh, Bill served as an Associate Pastor in State College for eight years. Bill never wants to stop learning. He has completed the Beeson Institute for Advanced church Leadership through Asbury Seminary and the Doctorate of Ministry in Leadership Coaching through Evangel University.

  • Dana Nichols - Kids Ministry Director

Dana Nichols grew up in the suburbs of Philadelphia, but migrated to the Pittsburgh area in 2007 to attend Grove City College. There, she met her husband, Tyler, while studying Sociology and Business and dedicated the hours that weren’t spent studying as a Young Life leader in Sharon, Pa.  From there, she became heavily invested in her local church ministries, and her heart for people ministry blossomed. Dana is a huge fan of coffee, conversation, and meeting new people. In addition to working as a Director of the Kids Ministry at Riverside, she also spends her time volunteering for Nexus Student Ministry and The Table Young Adult Ministry.

  • Josh Hull - Kids Ministry Director

Josh Hull grew up in Pittsburgh, PA. He loves playing guitar, super heroes, and listening to and playing music. He graduated from The Neighborhood Academy and then went on to Grove City to major in Biblical and Religious Studies as well as double minor in Sociology and Christian Ministry. Although Josh has been in church all of his life, he made the decision to follow Jesus personally at the age of 16 and was baptized at the age of 17. In his freshman year at college, Josh knew that God was calling him into full-time ministry. His youth pastor began mentoring him, and in November of 2011 during his senior year of college, Josh became the youth pastor at his childhood church. He is now serving as one of the Kids Ministry Directors and volunteers at Nexus.

  • Donnie Marsh - Student Ministry Pastor

Donnie is originally from Niagara Falls, NY and landed in the 'Burgh to work at RCC in 1996. He is married to Shelly and is father to Cierra and David. He's all about HopeRaising coffee (Ethiopian & Hope Blend sweetened with maple syrup... maybe a bit of cinnamon), disc golf, World Of Tanks Blitz, Siesta Key, Tom Clancy novels, and Shane & Shane.
