Going Deeper

Bill Ellis (412-828-2488)

With Sunday’s sermon as the source and practical application as the goal, this discussion group will explore the scriptural text and expound on the topic of the weekend messages. Further reflection on Sunday’s teaching will help you move beyond merely hearing the Word to proactively internalizing the Spirit’s voice. Those who enjoy open dialogue with others who share a humble and curious mindset will benefit most from this group.

Revelation

Gary Evans (856-430-0185)

From the vision of Jesus in the beginning of Revelation to the picture of Eden restored at the end of the book, there is a blessing to all who dig into this amazing book. A study of Revelation generates an exhilarating hope and confidence because we know the end of the story, and we know who wins. It should also cause us to focus on our present with eternity in view and produce a great passion for mission because we understand the consequences for those who do not believe. Come and experience all these things as we take a devotional look at this book together!

Unstoppable

David Kennard (412-828-2488)

This study will explore the role of the Holy Spirit in our lives before and after we come to faith in Christ. We’ll examine what it means to live in step with the Spirit and how the Spirit of the Lord empowers us to share our story with others in ways that we can’t in our own strength. We’ll also seek to understand what it means to be filled with the Holy Spirit and answer questions about speaking in tongues, interpretation of tongues and other gifts given by God’s Spirit.

Gospel Centered Parenting

Ricky & Chrissy Miller (724-766-5031)

What is your calling as a parent? In the midst of folding laundry, coordinating carpool schedules, and breaking up fights, many parents get lost. Feeling pressure to do everything “right” and raise up “good” children, it’s easy to lose sight of our ultimate purpose as parents in the quest for practical tips and guaranteed formulas. In this life-giving study, we’ll offer you much more than a to-do list. Instead, we’ll present you with a big-picture view of God’s plan for us as parents. We’ll focus on the foundational principles centered on the gospel and see that we need more than the latest parenting strategy or list of techniques. Rather, we need the rescuing grace of God—grace that has the power to shape how we view everything we do as parents. Freed from the burden of trying to manufacture life-change in our children’s hearts, we can embrace a grand perspective of parenting overflowing with vision, purpose, and joy.

Learning To Be With Jesus (Christianity 201)

Tricia Ritchie (724-561-5755)

Whether we're new to following Jesus or it’s been years, there comes a moment where we wonder if we're really expressing our faith or going through the motions. Our following seems rote and our lives are becoming stale because we feel like there's no growth. We look at others’ Facebook and Instagram posts, and immediately begin the Christian comparison trap. That isn't what our Father wants for us. He wants us to follow His Son the way He created us. This Connect Group is designed to help you live consistently for Christ in the way the Father designed you. We will delve into the spiritual practices that keep us connected to Christ and the challenges trying to hinder us from that divine plan.
