At Riverside we strive to REVERE God with our worship, CONNECT
with others in authentic community, and CONTRIBUTE
to God’s plan for mankind. We believe that when we follow Jesus, we will live
at the intersection of these three core values.
We revere God as we gather together weekly in larger environments to celebrate all He is doing in our lives personally and in our church family corporately. We sing, pray and study the Bible together. We listen to what the Holy Spirit is saying, and we apply what we learn.
We want you to feel at home, have a place where you can find support, encouragement, and fellowship, and be able to develop significant relationships. That’s why we have devoted a section below to the kinds of groups that will help you connect with others to build meaningful relationships and grow together in an atmosphere which promotes interaction with others, God’s Word, and His Spirit.
Following Jesus is a life-long journey, and spiritual maturity is neither instant nor automatic. It is a gradual, progressive development that will take the rest of your life. Growing in Christ takes intentional commitment. You must want to grow, decide to grow, make an effort to grow, and persist in growing. Becoming like Jesus is the result of making choices that honor Him, and then you depend on His Spirit to help you fulfill those choices. As you follow Jesus, you will find that He will help you live in new ways. You can be certain that the Holy Spirit will help you with these changes.
We take spiritual growth seriously at RCC. That’s why we’re dedicated to helping you take the necessary steps to develop disciplines that will help you grow, to find your spiritual gifts and use them, and to learn to influence others and share the love of God the way that is most comfortable for you. Through it all, we want to help you to understand that everything in your life is an act of worship before God.
As you discover how God has shaped and equipped you to serve Him, we want you to have the opportunity to contribute to the needs of others. That’s why the other section below is devoted to the kinds of groups that will help you use your time, talents and treasure to invest yourself in the ministries and outreaches that will help to bless children, students, young adults and adults throughout our communities. These groups focus on ways we can serve and add value to others.
Jesus prayed, “My prayer is that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in Me and I am in them.” He also challenged, “Whoever wants to be My disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow Me.”
He envisioned a movement that was deeply connected and
completely committed to extending His love. Together we can fulfill this vision!
Summer groups meet between June 5 and August 19.
