Core Beliefs

Values

At Riverside Community Church we strive to REVERE God through a life of worship, CONNECT with others in authentic caring community, and CONTRIBUTE to helping others both near and far.

Revere: We are active responders to the grace and mercy of God. We seek to honor and pursue the One who knows us best and loves us most. Weekly gatherings that are culturally relevant and biblically based provide an opportunity for the Holy Spirit to restore our souls and redirect our lives so we may better love God.

Connect: God created us for community, and we are better together than on our own. Authentic relationships in small groups are the best way to foster real life change. Therefore, we connect together weekly in C-Groups to grow spiritually and develop meaningful, healthy friendships to experience genuine Christian community.

Contribute: We find true life in giving it away. As one popular writer said, “It’s not about you.” The journey to self is a dead-end street, but the journey to others leads ever higher. We believe that all people matter to God, and every Christ-follower has the privilege and responsibility to extend God’s care through his or her time, talent, and treasures.

We Believe

In the inspiration of the Holy Scriptures

In the Trinity: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit

In the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ and His virgin birth

In the forgiveness of sin through the cross of Christ

In the healing for body, mind and soul

In salvation by grace through faith

In the indwelling guidance of the Holy Spirit

In the return of Jesus Christ
